Great experience! Owner was not actually open- (I read hours wrong) we stopped by in our camper and he gladly served us some to-go meals. We really appreciated that. We had ribs and quarter chicken with baked beans and Mac n cheese. Very filling and had a great taste!
A great small local business. Run by the owner. He does it all and does it well. We had brisket sandwiches and fries. The brisket was juicy the roll was top notch. The fries were fresh and excellent. We ate outside on the porch at a picnic table but they had inside tables too. It’s kind of tucked away a little off the beaten path but close by. I’m looking forward to trying the ribs next time. I forgot to put take a picture I dug into it too fast!
Not what we anticipated and were hoping for at the price. We really appreciated the kindness of the man and service was quick. That’s about it. We got 3 sandwiches with one side each and ribs. However, the ribs were burnt and it’s probably my fault for not asking, but they were not a rack of ribs like we thought, they were separated pork ribs. The brisket was just OK. Chewy and fatty. The pulled pork sandwich was the better of the 3. FF were fine. My kids didn’t like the macaroni and cheese, which is surprising because they eat that everywhere all the time. I should’ve known better by the uncleanliness, but we were hangry and it was right on the way to our destination. Definitely not worth $80. I’m so disappointed because we could’ve put that money towards something better on our vacation.
We were looking to get a good meal today before jumping back on the interstate. We wanted to give this place a try since the hours said they were open until 7 pm and the reviews seemed good. We stopped by around 3:15 pm and the Open sign was flashing. We walked up to the door and tried opening it, only to find the door was locked. We peeked inside through the glass door and saw a football game was playing on the TV but no one was around. There wasnt another vehicle outside besides ours...not sure if the worker needed to step out but would have been nice if they left a sign on the door saying they would be back. We were very disappointed and left to go to a different restaurant in the area.
My husband and I were traveling for work and stopped by because we were driving through. It's a wonderful little place - the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. We both got the pulled pork sandwiches - they are absolutely amazing. I like the Carolina BBQ sauce on mine. The baked beans are savory and rich and the Mac and cheese has a little kick to it - but it's not too spicy. The coleslaw is fantastic - add it to your sandwich with the pickles. That's the way to do it. We will definitely be back!
