Smokin Barrel Barbeque

I had been hearing about this place for a while and decided it was time to taste it for myself. Even though I Googled the directions, it was kind of confusing to get there because there is no signage that identifies it. It is inside a former community center building. I called my order in just to clarify the menu items, and the young lady who answered the phone was very pleasant, professional, and patient, with me explaining to me all of my questions. I picked up my food and was greeted warmly. I arrived at home with my order, a sample of everything, and my wife smelled the aroma and curiously opened the bags, found the rib tips, and tasted one. The staff are always great and I have liked going here since the first time I saw the sign and stopped. But I hate to say the food has been very hit or miss the past several times I have stopped for carryout. The pulled pork is normally really good but the buns are frequently burnt/overcooked. The mac and cheese was slightly spicy and tasted great when I first started going here and now you never know what you are going to get. Last time it was very good. Today the pasta was very overcooked and the sauce did not taste the same. I understand you make things from scratch and they will vary but this is too much. Fantastic to not good whatsoever. Also today the barbecue sauce was missing from my order. Everything is too expensive for it not to taste good and be more consistent.

When I first rolled up on this place I thought I was lost, it's inside a community center. The girl who took my order was very nice. I ordered sliced brisket, rib tips, ribs, corn casserole, and Mac and cheese. The corn casserole was good, the Mac and cheese was very good, the brisket was excellent (quite possibly the best smoke flavoring I've ever had), the rib tips were a little disappointing, they were a little tougher than I thought they should be. They didn't give me the ribs I ordered, I instead got shredded brisket, I felt it was meant to be and the shredded brisket was very good too. I was originally going to give them a 4 star review because of the rib tips and getting the order wrong, (I'm confident they would have corrected it if I would have complained) but on my way out the ow

Absolutely love this place! The staff is astoundingly friendly! The food was perfectly seasoned! I personally got the rib tip dinner and it was fire!🔥 the baked beans I think are hands down the best I’ve had! I won’t be going anywhere else for my barbecue needs! Highly recommend stopping by!

I have been here many times and when I ordered the loaded Mac in cheese, I say no sauce or the sauce is always on the side. Not only did they put sauce in it but thr drenched it in bbq! My bag was dripping from it. They really should not put it on there, it should always come on the side.
