I was able to pick everything up the day before, which meant my wife did not have to spend three straight days cooking like she was competing on a Food Network survival show. Instead of chaos, we had peace. Instead of flour-covered countertops, we had joy. Instead of me pretending to “help,” we had perfectly smoked meat and happy guests. In town for the F1 and staying in Kyle, we stumbled upon Smokey Mo’s post-race. Restaurant is spotlessly clean and the counter service is friendly. The scent of smoke from the BBQ is ever present in the best way, not like an 11 yr old boy dipped in Axe. I ordered the Big BBQ sandwich, two meats. I got brisket and jalapeño sausage. The brisket was, well, fine. Its primary flavor was smoke, enhanced by the spicy BBQ sauce they’d included. It looked like a nice cut of brisket just lacked its own punch. The jalapeño sausage was a banger though. Nicely seasoned and spiked without making you regret the jalapeño choice. Again the spicy BBQ sauce played Hardy to the sausages’s Laurel, making the sausage the star. Bun was hardy enough to accommodate the meats and the sauce. Didn’t get anything else

Do you want tasty Texas BBQ without overpaying? Then this is your only non-food-truck option. The overpriced places (Terry Blacks, Interstellar, etc) are fine, but you will get a more consistent satisfaction from Smokey Mo's. They have great BBQ as well as great sides. However, they have what these other places dont, great prices. Terry Black's and Interstellar over season to trick you. Smokey Mo's just cooks their meat and sides better. They dont need to rely on a special seasoning. They do it the way it is meant to be done. God Bless Smokey Mo's!!!!

Walked in and the inside looked new. The interior layout had a simple modern look. I ordered the one meat plate (sliced brisket) with potato salad and cheddar new potatoes. Gal at the counter was friendly and was key in helping me decide on my sides. Brisket was tender and delicious. The sides were also very good. Overall quality, quantity, and price was great. Very much enjoyed dining here. 👍

I ordered this place for the first time on Uber Eats and it got delivered so quick I was amazed and thought the food would be good and fresh … let me tell you I was flabbergasted at how DRY the brisket was. You could hold it sideways and it was straight like a board. The barbecue sauce couldnt even rescue it. 😭😭 first impression? I will never eat that dry beef jerky again. Lmao
