What happened Smokey Bones? I visited smokey bones in Manchester, CT probably 2 decades ago. My wife loves BBQ, and I remembed how amazing Smokey Bones was back then. So I planed a Rhode Island trip and included one of the very few Smokey Bones still open (I now understand why) I kept hoping something was good, so the dinner didn't end in divorce. Here is what we had and how it was: Signature Ribs: Tender but lacked any real flavor. Guess that's why they have a ton of sauces on the table, but real BBQ comes with flavor. Fire roasted corn: HORRIBLE . Have you ever breathed the air in a basement flea market, that's how it tastes. Sweet Potato Fries: Good, could use some more salt out the fryer. Felt bad for our waitress, sweet girl. Bartender has no idea what she’s doing, asked for chilled shot of crown apple, got warm liquor… idea was to put ice chips on the plate with the shots. smarty pants was good though! (Definitely a premade mixture) Cole slaw was great, bun on my pulled pork Sammy was stale 😔. Sad day for BBQ. Almost all employees were in their phones and chatting with the cook. 10/10 would not recommend… Update: waitress decided to talk about us to to her fellow employees IN FRONT IF US👀 Another update: needed my card for over 5 minutes to run my tab. Weird.

Handed completely incorrect order to start and brought to car before checking. Returned inside to a new employee that assisted me then initial employee, the manager, came around the corner with my box (burger). I inquired if the initial order (wings) had to be tossed because I brought it to my car and opened it. The employee said yes and the manager chimed in not necessarily. I requested the food as it should otherwise be tossed because I brought it to my car; huge food safety concern and liability for the restaurant to then serve this to another customer. I was not allowed to keep it and was told it would be tossed. Received my correct box and left. Had been told that the garlic bread was under the burger. My mistake for not thoroughly investigating for every piece of my order. When I arr

The smoked wings were delicious and exceeded my expectations. The bartender, Mikala, was very attentive and pleasant. I never went without a drink! I will be coming back.

Service was good. Food was delicious. Its a shame there are rumors of it closing
