Amazing! Went to the new location on US 1…BLOWN AWAY!!! The service was amazing! The food was great! The atmosphere beautiful! Portion size was great. Our server, Pretty, was warm, welcoming, shared the history of the organization and the chef’s vision. Learning about the new location, their first dinner restaurant, we were so excited to know we were among the first to share feedback about our experience. Overall, very satisfied. Pricing was very reasonable for the quality and amount of food. Everything was delicious. We shared a single entree and got some appetizers. The CheeseCano Burger and Grilled Sweet Potato were new and unique. The daily specials are RIDICULOUSLY priced with all you can eat days and and we are going back today for $5 smash burgers with our entire team.

The service and atmosphere were really really top-notch. However, the food did not impress at all. It was overly citrusy or under seasoned based off what we ordered. we received some chips and salsa. The salsa was really good for me because I like really citrusy things but if other people got it, I don’t think they would like it very much. Then we ordered an appetizer the loaded fries which we’re supposed to have corn, but we didn’t get corn on them. We just got cheese and white sauce and bacon bits. The fries according to my husband were the best thing. I ordered the steak tacos, which I really like the tacos but the beans to me taste burned but the rice was really good, but there was no salsa to accompany the tacos so it was kind of bland and boring. We were in the area and decided to go back and much to our surprise it’s a new location. We sat at the bar and our drink order was taken immediately. We ordered the lobster Benedict & shrimp and grits. VERY GOOD! Highly recommend. We will be back. (I can say that things moved a little slower than we expected with our food coming out and our check but since they just opened I think they’re trying to find their flow. We loved it regardless) *Definitely make reservation!

Had such a great experience at Hog and the Hen Scratch Kitchen! The food was so good — can’t go wrong with the biscuits and gravy! everything tasted fresh and homemade. But the real star was our waitress, Barbie! She was super sweet, attentive, and made us feel right at home. You can tell she really enjoys what she does. She gave awesome recommendations and checked in without ever feeling overbearing. Definitely ask for Barbie if you go — she made the whole meal that much better! Can’t wait to come back.
