My wife and I went to Silver Falls and and stayed at Smith Creek. The cabins were very cool. Definitely clean. Had everything you need call my other than a TV, which was great. The bed was kind of hard but honestly, we had a really good time. The service at The big leaf grill was amazing. The sapphire was kind, consistent and very friendly. I would say they are definitely helpful and professional, and the park should be proud of them. Honestly, for $200 for one night, you get a full meal of two flatbread pizzas, two desserts and coffee in the morning. You can't really shake a stick at that. My wife and I didn't get a honeymoon when we got married so this was our honeymoon and we really enjoyed it.
Our first time staying since the new management company took over. We give them high marks. Have the cinnamon roll! Hope they can get food service set up at Smith Creek. At least on weekends. Right now just breakfast burritos and pastries. |We stayed in the Raccoon duplex. Had neighbors, but never really heard them. Just a flushing toilet since bathrooms share the wall. Comfy bed! They said it’s a queen. It’s cozy. No room for anything but sleeping. We used the common fire pit to roast hotdogs. They have roasting sticks and supplied wood. Everything seems in great shape.
Very nice couple of nights at Smith Creek. We stayed in one of the small cabins and really enjoyed our stay. Hiking at Silver Falls is always great but several portions of the trails were closed due to storm damage. Looking forward to our next stay in March.
Definitely a hidden gem for a place to stay and relax while doing all the activities that Silver Falls has to offer. Cabins we’re taking care of. The beds were comfortable there was a fire pit and s’more sticks. My only complaint was they do not have an air conditioning for cold. They did have heat. The good news is the nights are cold so you just open the windows. We loved the Calypso cabin.
Super 😍 cute! Our cabin choice was "racoon " cabin. Quaint essentials accommodation. To me... this is upscale camping. Offers mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker. Very fresh. Very clean... very chill. There is snack, drink place right close. For hot food, you'll have to go short 2.2mile to south falls Cafe, in south fall district. (Separate review for them forthcoming). Shower is tight for two adults but plenty of hot water. Bed, pillows and linens were fresh, clean and comfortable. Campgrounds offer multiple cabin size options, check the website. Super convenient to silver falls, 10-falls trail. Parking is included or "free" for anywhere in South Falls state park.
