Super amazing breakfast sandwiches! Never had such fresh bread before! All the options for homemade syrups are amazing! We got the breakfast sandwiches and I got a cold brew with cold foam! Such an awesome coffee and bakery shop, the staff were all so kind and accommodating, sweet as their baked goods! Will be coming again!

This bakery opened in 2023. There's also another location in Gastro Park West Hartford. This location in Avon was very cute. There were some seating and service was good. I know they're known for their baked goods, sandwiches, and coffee. On this visit, I ordered some treats such as chocolate chocolate cookies, muffin, and croissants. They're known for their sourdough cinnamon rolls and croissants; it usually sells out quickly. What I've tried was very good and can't wait to go back and try out more of their stuff.

We stopped by Small State Provisions during a trip to the northwest corner of Connecticut. We enjoyed the hot chocolate and sugar cookie iced coffee along with some pastries. Our favorite was the banana bread followed by the chocolate croissant and chocolate chip cookies. The blueberry scone was a bit lackluster in my opinion. The staff was friendly, and the environment was welcoming.

The food is great, but @$17 for an egg, bacon and avocado sandwich is a lot. The single handicapped spot has been removed and the establishment isn't mobility-limited friendly. There is a crowded one way ordering area that then exits you to the front of the building - away from the side parking lot. There is step down at the exit that a wheelchair cannot safely navigate. If your a disabled walker- the exit location adds distance, a step down and sidewalk cracks. To get out of this building in a wheelchair - the table area is so crowded - you would need to ask either seated folks to move so someone could push their chairs and leave through the entrance, or ask the waiting/ordering line to move - just for you to leave the establishment. I recently tried the breakfast sandwich at Small State Provisions Bakery in Avon and it was delightful! The baked egg patty on their delicious focaccia bread was a tasty combination. The new space they've opened on Old Farms Road, next to Hopmeadow Brewing Company, is a charming addition. They offer a variety of freshly baked sourdough breads, a full coffee bar, and a tempting selection of sweet and savory baked goods like muffins, scones, and cookies. While the breakfast sandwich was a hit, I'd definitely explore their other offerings next time. Came back again and it was even better than I remembered. Delicious avocado toast and a perft croque monsieur!!! Homerun! The owner was present, kind, and attentive.
