Slo Odie's

The wife and I constantly play the "What do you want for dinner" game when we do date nights. And that age old questions always go unanswered until we finally settle on something neither if us really want.... So, we started letting our Chase Credit card choose for us! We found Slo Odie's by recommendations of our card and thought we would give it a chance. We absolutely loved it! Upon arriving you will find a nice size parking lot close to the entrance. Inside, there is plenty of seating either at a table, booth or the bar! No matter where you sit, im pretty sure you can see a TV, if you are into that. This was our first time there and we all liked it. Our party had the Ruben sandwich, hamburger and onion rings, and the Buffalo chicken sandwich and fries. The portions were big and the food was good. They were busy, but the service was great (even though they had just 1 waitress that Saturday afternoon).

Ridiculously rude server. I sat at the bar and waited quite a while before I was acknowledged. Final the bartender looked at me and said, "Uh can I help you?" like she was surprised to find someone sitting at the bar. I asked for a whiskey coke short and a food menu, which I had to wait several more minutes for. She poured the glass in a tall glass, and I reminded her that I had asked for a short glass. She rolled her eyes and poured my drink in a wine glass and tried to hand it me. I again specified I was asking for a SHORT. Any bartender on day one of the job would have known what I was talking about: Ordering an alcoholic drink "short" means you want the standard amount of liquor served in a small glass (like a rocks glass) with minimal mixer. Been here a few times and always sit at the bar. Excellent service, great beer, and really good food. I also like the "regulars". They are fun to talk to. Always a good time. Food-wise, I HIGHLY recommend the soup & salad with grilled cheese. YUM. Also the lemon pepper chicken is fantastic!

The food was decent. The service was terrible. Also took forever to get our food. The mac n cheese bites were missing the macaroni. Really just cheese and jalapeños bites. It was 3 in the afternoon when we went. So they weren't busy at all.
