Slingin Wings

Today was my first time trying this restaurant. Customer service was none, 0, zilch. The young lady (light skinned, glasses, curly bun) she really needs customer service training. She barely opened her mouth. I had to ask everything. When my food was ready she had it on the counter and didn’t say nothing, I asked her if that was mind and then she said yes. She didn’t say thank u, have a good day, nothing 🤷🏾‍♀️. I ordered 2 wing platters in which she told me the wings are a nice size. The 2?platters were $34 and change. There are signs in the store saying that this is a soul food restaurant but this restaurant has missed the mark. When I got home I was so disappointed my wings were baby wings. We visited Atlantic City, made a wrong turn, and passed by this spot. The name peaked our interest so, I took a pic of the sign. We looked this place up and decided to visit the next day. We are true southerners to our hearts. We enjoy a good southern meal!!! We had not found it in the north until we ate at this place. Wow!!! Everyone working there had a northern accent. After tasting the food, we demanded to see the Madea, Big Momma, Uncle Jr., Great Auntie or Great Uncle who was born in the south, cooking the food in the back. LOL!!!! She was not there, but were told that one of the owners had learned to cook from an older family member who was born in the South! Needless to say, we were highly impressed and pleased with our meal! We will definitely return there if we find ourselves in A

The food as well as the portions are exceptionally great. If they have the Chicken Skins for $1 a bag- buy them all and thank me later.

First time trying at the Hamilton mall. Overall the food was good and prices are typical. I got hot and honey wings, mac and yams. It's had to find soulfood that's similar to what I'm used to at home. This place was good. The wings were fresh. The sides were prepackaged and warmed up. Tasted good. I wanted to try the coconut cake. It was from the fridge so very cold it tasted a little dry, but I'll know better once its room temp. I didnt care for the blueberry corn bread. Service was average. I'd go back. Wait time was okay. There was just 1person working. He was attentive.

Omg! First time ever eating there. Never had catfish so damn good. And im from the South. Everything delicious!! Cooked to perfection. Cooked with love and soul. Excellent staff. Very family oriented. Made me and my girlfriend feel very welcome with good laughs and tasty food!! Definitely recommend to anyone who wants a good piece of southern style cooking!!!
