Slim Chickens

Let’s be honest, there are no shortage of chicken restaurants in Jacksonville. There are a literal smorgasbord of choices, but Slim Chickens has managed to stand out and my family and I eat there a couple times a month. Tonight I ordered eight wings and they were unfortunately raw in the middle. Upon calling the restaurant I expected to encounter the attitude that’s seemingly served as a side in today’s food service industry. But I was pleasantly surprised by the manager, Herschel. He went out of his way to not only express his disappointment but his regret. He refunded my ticket, no questions asked. This is probably the reason Slim Chickens has managed to stand out in a literal chicken coop of restaurants. Thank you again, Herschel. We will continue to be patrons of your establishment.

I really did like this place, cool atmosphere, good service, good food. I didn’t know we had one moncks corner,SC which is still a 45 min ride from me. But maybe I’ll visit there one here and see how it compares. But definitely a place to stop by and check out. Also those are real Mason jars with the dessert in them. That’s pimp.

Me and my son went on Monday and got lunch. I got the 3 tenders meal and he got the sandwich meal. OMG....yall.....the cayenne ranch is 🔥❤️🔥! 10 out of 10! So good. Food was made fresh, hot and delicious! Sweet tea was great! Definitely going back...that cayenne ranch has me HOOKED!

Super Bowl Sunday another fried chicken place was gonna be two hours out. It’s 6pm. We Pull up order 30 wings two large fries and within 10 minutes. We’re home by 6:29 enjoying some of the best wings I’ve ever had in my life. Their garlic Parmesan wings might be the best wings I’ve had in my life. 10/10 food. 10/10 service. Their ranch was incredible! Fries were great! And shoutout Slims for saving my Super Bowl Sunday night!

Food is always cooked fresh when I come in the afternoon. I take advantage of the order ahead and get 20% off deal when it pops up in the app. Totally worth it and the back of the house staff is great! Angela is the bees knees as well she always has the best attitude.
