Sleeping Giant Ice Cream Company

Visited after going hiking in Minnewaska State Park. They had several unique flavors at a very reasonable price. Service was quick and helpful. They have a cute area to sit and enjoy your ice cream. I would definitely recommend stopping buy on your trips upstate

We have been to Sleeping Giant many times and each time, I cringe at their steep prices. We are also aware there are costs with running a business and are going for the experience, so we return time and time again. That being said, after yesterday’s experience, I do not wish to return. We ordered four ice creams and the first three came out fine. The fourth came out and was a third of the size. While we are typically accustomed to brushing things off and just being happy with what we’ve gotten, it was glaringly different and I could tell it was upsetting to my niece, so we mentioned the difference in size and had just asked for a bit more to be added - no big deal, right? This ice cream place instantly brightens my mood. The ambiance is uplifting, the people are friendly, and their menu ROCKS! One of a kind. Will definitely be back 😃
