I was relieved to learn that SLATER LIBRARY was open! I called, made an appointment time, and when I got there it was quiet. I was able to take care of my business on their computer and made copies with their printer. I am quite happy to have access to the library during these trying times. And the nice lady that was there is a GOD SEND! She is very kind and helpful.
A great small town library. Has a handful of computers to utilize. Great DVD selection and a decent set of books.Has a dedicated childrens section downstairs with its own librarian. But what makes the biggest difference is the hospitality and friendliness of the librarians. Always smiling and eager to help. They accept certain cards from other area libraries. I will continue to use the services of Slater and recommend to all. Also very rich in history.
It is a beautiful cut stone building with plenty of parking. They host many wonderful shows with artists for painting photography authors and more It's always a pleasure to go there
Wonderful programs for children to participate in, to watch a favorite movie or learn how to draw. FANTASTIC
