We were there on a blustery Sunday, in November, in the afternoon as soon as it opened. The service was outstanding! Natasha, the bar manager, and the entire crew were incredibly nice and the food outstanding! We met each of them ( we were the only ones there at the time) and even had a chance to meet and chat with the owners who came by a bit later. The interior is beautiful and cozy! The stage is in a great spot to allow all to enjoy the music, no matter where you're sitting. We had a bit of everything, drinks, soup of the day, Grandma's pierogies, rice pilaf, Taco Quesaberr`ia, chicken wings, salad and burger!! Everything was delicious, ( though we prefer the little flats wings). And for dessert, the cannoli dip!! A great place to meet/make friends, have a bite, good drinks and fe
Hidden gem in downtown Bangor, PA! The fish fry specials board from FB made us crave fish, so, we headed out to give it a go. No fish fry this night but what we ordered was delicious and satisfying 😋 Just opened at 4pm, we encountered Jake and Jill tending bar and so, decided to just sit and ask some questions. Travis in the kitchen, preparing and presenting great food. You’re on pointe. The Slater steak sandwich with FF cooked on par, tasted good. ($14) The ancho chile lime Salmon with crema was cooked right, accompanied by Tuscan kale and side of mushroom soup. Surprisingly awesome. ($18) Then added an order of fish and chips ($16) with homemade FF and coleslaw that blew my socks off, wait, I wasn’t wearing socks. 😂 Anyhow, these folks aim to please, very accommodating and personable.
Had to give this one a 5. We walked in with no assumptions and were extremely impressed with the live music, the craft beer, the atmosphere, and of course the food. The Irish Red beer is legitimately one of the best local brews in the Valley. Wings are whole, which is interesting. But the sauces and fry were perfect. The beer cheese pretzel is also a winner. We will def come back to this place.
Tonight was the second time my mom and I had dinner at the Slatebelt Brewing Company! It is handicap accessible with a ramp leading to the front door. The ascetic of the brewery is based around music, complete with some guitars hanging on the wall and a stage for performers. It has embossed wall paper and is super cute and welcoming inside. Our server, Stephanie, was amazing. She asked if we had been there before, and if there are any food, allergies they should be aware of. She was kind and friendly and, when asked, offered suggestions as to what we might like to eat. She recommended the scotch egg, which I now also highly recommend as well. My mother raved about the New England clam chowder stating that normally it is bits of clam, but that there was actually whole clams in the chowder.
After finding out that our favorite band, Radio One would be at Slate Belt Brewing Company, we made an online reservation for a high top. Table was ready when we arrived and our server, Jakub, greeted us immediately. We ordered our drinks, an espresso cherry cordial martini, a smoked old fashion, spicy margarita, and one of their craft beers. All of the drinks were on point. For appetizers we had muhammara, scotch eggs and popcorn soup. For dinner we enjoyed fish and chips which was fresh, crispy and delicious, and the salmon entrée. We wrapped everything up with canoli dip and chocolate ganache which were just as tasty as the rest of the food. We were happy to see some unique offerings on the menu, and the portions and presentation were perfect. Jakub was attentive and fun. Our wat
