About Slammyz

Customer Reviews
Wow. I saw solid 5-star reviews and had to check it out. Definitely worth the trip. The owner has created an incredibly fun and friendly atmosphere with a twist of rock music. He is the only employee and makes everyone who walks in feel welcome. It's a very simple menu, but each item is executed well. Mac n cheese is a perfect addition. I topped it off with a peanut butter and corn flakes no-bake cookie that I will definitely come back for. We also got the blueberry golden graham no bake which was solid, but the corn flakes one was perfect. I would recommend grabbing a bag of chips with your sandwich for a little crunch because the meat is so tender and definitely grab some napkins because it is definitely juicy. After that, just sit back and enjoy your meal. Well done! I should note that
I love all the sandwiches especially the shredded chicken with hot honey sauce! My friend, Beckie, is addicted to the Sloppy Sammyz sandwiches and Chocolate Oatmeal cookies. Just add their Creamy Cheesy Mac-n- Cheese, for a comfort food homerun. Premium ingredients, seasoned to perfection! Very clean restaurant and friendly staff.
I haven’t been to the store yet, but I live in the neighborhood. They came around passing out advertisements so we could become customers. I was skeptical about trying the cookie, but I did, and it was really good! I usually don’t like cookies at all, but this one is different. The texture and the taste are perfect for me. I’ll be visiting the restaurant with my husband soon and will keep you guys updated.
My husband and I tried Slammyz for the first time and we’re officially hooked. We ordered the New Found Poultry, Powerslam 5000, Disturb‑Bird, and Slopknot, and every sandwich was fantastic. The Dirty Mac was a standout — unbelievably creamy, packed with flavor, and something we’re still thinking about. The rock‑music vibe is fun, the place is spotless, and the owner clearly takes pride in what he’s building. We can’t wait to come back and try more. This is exactly the kind of local spot worth supporting.
My favorite place in Garfield Park! Pickup orders are super fast and easy to pick up. Prices are great and food is always so so good!
