I haven’t eaten such a wholesome and heartwarming meal at a restaurant in a while. My meal was delicious! I got the beef rendang and ikan balado (fish). It was affordable and flavorful, especially the beef rendang and coconut rice. It was tender and juicy. The service was quick and friendly as well.
sky cafe is one of my favorite restaurants in philly! i recommend it to everyone and i always take new friends here. the service is excellent and the food is delicious. everything always tastes like it is made with love ❤️ i never get sick of the noodle soup N11 🤤
DO NOT LISTEN TO ANY OF THE REVIEWS THAT ARE LESS THAN FIVE STARS. this has become my new favorite place in philly. this family owned restaurant has everything you could need and more. my favorites on the menu are N11, N7/8, R23, and the fried rice dishes. the servers are so lovely and the food feels like it’s giving me a warm hug. would recommend to anyone who’s in philly <3
First Indo restaurant I tried in Philly. Idk I just feel like it is not as good as the ones in NYC lol, but I'd come back if I want Indo food. For the rice, the beef rendang is well seasoned and not spicy. I like the combination with the deep fried potato sticks (I think), which adds a nice texture. The noodles is not that well-seasoned imo. The pork slices are too sweet, and the soup is too bland. The noodles for mi go reng is more like lo mein. It has chinese sausage, shrimp, and not a lot of veggie. The curry noodle soup is very coconut-y and a little spicy. I don't like the rice noodle that is used. The toppings have fried tofu, fish ball, tofu skin, potatoes, not really any 'meat'. Chicken satay is tender but too much sauce.
The food is really good and reasonable in price. We tried different things and everyone loved the food. We sat 8 people in the back, they did allow us to call in and set up a reservation for that many which is nice. Because most smaller places don't do seat holding.. The mango smoothie was really good and so was the fried chicken and coconut rice. I was to hungry and forgot to take photos of all the food, but I will say again everyone loved their food and everyone had something different from chicken, Fish and beef. I recommend this place.
