Skillets Food Truck

WOW. My boyfriend and I were walking the shops of this 9th south neighborhood last Friday and saw this new brunch spot. We decided to try it out of a whim after looking it up (the food truck) and thinking it sounded good. It was more than good, the food is GREAT. Specifically the burrito and the Venezuelan skillet. The shredded steak is so flavorful and tender, and the green sauce made it just that much better. We loved it so much, we went back again on Sunday. Definitely adding it to my restaurant rotation and recommending to friends.

Absolutely LOVED this new breakfast place in SLC! They recently opened this location after having a food truck of the same name and I am so glad they made the switch! Their food is phenomenal. I had their delicious breakfast burrito ( vegetarian option) and I devoured it all in one bite for how amazing it was. They also pair it with this tasty green sauce which adds so much flavor to the entire meal! Their tower for two also offers a variety of flavors and can be easily shared with the entire table! The owners were also extremely kind and polite and the service was excellent! Our friends had reserved their restaurant for their pre- wedding dinner and the owners made all of us feel right at home! My wife and I ate here and this is one if not the best place to eat breakfast in SLC! I want to point out Ash our server she was absolutely amazing and deserves a raise 😇 she was friendly and attentive. I got the breakfast burrito probably the best thing on the menu and my wife got the French toast combo which was really good! We will definitely come back to this place just to see Ash!

It wasn't my intentions to stop at this food truck at 8:30 in the morning. But I thought what the hell I'll give it a shot I've never heard of this truck before but a skillet sounded awesome for breakfast while working, I ordered the pastrami not knowing that it was a sandwich instead of a skillet. However this pastrami sandwich had eggs cheese and I believe a type of ranch sauce on it. The sandwich was really freaking tasty.

Service was great. We have no complaints about service! Our server was considerate and timely and attentive, despite being busy. The food is egregious. Bland and dry and rushed. No soul, this place feels and tastes like 2015 teal blue and pink, haunted by a spirit of Amazon-chatgbt-Sysco-chaotic mess. Needless to say, if you enjoy Disney world a little too much, this is probably right up your alley.
