My husband and have been looking for a place to call home since we moved into NJ and I believe we have found it. The food is sooooo good. Cooked With love and seasoning. Tasted just like my momma cooking. The service is sooo amazing. They were kind welcoming and attentive and it is black owned 🥰. If anyone is looking for a nice comfy place to eat good food. This is your place oh and let’s not forget the prices are affordable. Finally a place that’s not trying to rob you. May God bless this place forever❤️

I was disappointed. The Northeast is known for great breakfast, especially potatoes, but this didn’t deliver. The potatoes tasted like they were only boiled, and the frozen peppers were unpleasant. They don’t offer basic sliced bread options like white or sourdough, which was surprising. The coffee was not good at all. The only positive was the bacon, which was good quality. I also didn’t understand the service fee. I was dining alone, and there was already a service charge added, yet tipping was still expected at the end. That felt confusing and unnecessary. Overall, it was a bad experience, and I wouldn’t come back to eat here if given the choice.

Had a delicious meal here. The server was very nice and suggested the fried fish and grits which was much better than I expected! Especially with the hot sauce. The potatoes were also really well done and flavorful. I can see why this place is so highly regarded.

AMAZING!!!! My surf and turf was perfect. One of the BEST RESTAURANTS IN THE COUNTRY!!!!!! I travel all over the U.S. and this is definitely in my top 10. My aunt got Pancakes and sausage, she loved it! You won’t be disappointed!!!

Skill Lit was a great experience! The food was really good, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure I was happy—they even made me a cappuccino, even though it wasn’t on the menu. Everyone was super friendly, the music was great, and the place has a fun, positive vibe. Definitely a spot I’d come back to!
