Sizzling Tandoori Hut | Wasco

Over the years, I've often heard one or more versions of "eat where the truck drivers eat because they know where the best food is." Well, in the case of the Sizzling Tandoori Hut, it's true! There was a constant stream of 18 wheelers coming and going and the drivers ordering their favorite meals. One driver we talked with suggested we try the butter chicken. We did, and it was amazing. We also ordered the lamb korma, and it too was amazing. Both meals included regular or garlic naan at no extra charge and a very simple and refreshing salad of cucumbers, red onion, and shredded cabbage with a light seasoning. Yum! AMAZING FOOD! Stop here, you won’t regret it. We stumbled upon this place while camping nearby and it is literally the best Indian food I’ve had in ages. Fresh, well prepared, and large portions. The staff were super friendly and even gave us free waters and tea. Gorgeous views of the river, outside or indoor dining in a super thoughtful and quaint atmosphere. Gluten free offerings!

Hidden gem next to a tire repair shop for truckers. This place and the one across the street (curry & kebab) are offering delicious Indian food with outdoor seating and ample selection. Would recommend.

Great food, very friendly and helpful staff. Food is authentic and has great sized portions. The manager goes out of his way to look after you. Would definitely recommend it to anyone, and we'll certainly be stopping here every time we pass by!
