Simply Khmer Restaurant

We had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant last night with our Cambodian friend who is attending college here. He’s been craving food from his home country, and our driving 30 minutes to get to Simply Khmer did not disappoint! We had our friend choose for us, and these were our dishes.He explained that soup is a very typical dish in Cambodian families, and we had the generous Som-law Ma-ju Kroeung soup with healthy green vegetables, beef & tripe that you can put on rice or eat from a soup bowl. The broth was incredibly flavorful! We also had the Amok Trey, which is Cambodia’s national dish passed down from royalty, with fish poached in coconut milk curry sauce. Oh my! The sauce was soo tasty that we scooped up the very last drops of sauce with rice! We also had the well-known Loc Lac

This was my first time trying Cambodian food, and it was an amazing experience. The staff gave us very helpful recommendations and explanations, and we really enjoyed the food. The decor was beautiful, and I loved the music as well. Highly recommended!

Awesome experience. Great food and service, new flavor experience as well if you’ve never tried Khmer food ! What we ordered: Thai milk tea, taro shake, ginger stir fry combo with beef, and a kuy tiev. The kuy tiev soup was sooooo flavorful me and my bf couldn’t stop eating it even after we got full lol. The ginger stir fry you could taste it was fresh real ginger and I loved that. One of the ladies who took our order noticed us looking at the little shop and she gave us a whole run down about all the products and some history of Cambodia even down to the details of the pictures on the wall! Another worker also was knowledgeable about all the products and was showing us the freshly grew crab apples and detailing how most of the stuff in the fridge were made! This past Saturday, we enjoyed a great meal. Everything was delicious, fresh and on point. Don't sleep on Cambodian cuisine. It's flavorful and a treat. Simply Khmer is a jewel in Lowell.

We came in a huge group of almost 20. Everything was good - food taste, noodle texture, drink sweetness etc. The space is very clean, well-ventilated and spacious. The waitstaff were very friendly and helpful with information on the menu. They were very accomodating toward requests and thorough with the orders. Food and drinks came out super fast. I was so impressed how they managed to handle our big group so well.
