Simple Words Books

This books are truly a treasure. With working with older students, it is hard to find a book that is on their reading level that doesn't make them stick out as having a hard time reading. One of my students told me they were excited to read "because it looks just like how everyone else has a chapter book." These books have been the perfect confidence booster while still building in learning for my students. I plan on getting more of these books and gifting a new one to each of my students for them to keep.

Simple Words Books is an amazing find for fun reading. The author has extensive research towards letters and words that are difficult to read for dyslexic children. No other author has this level of data driven writing. If your child has difficulty reading make sure they try Cigdem Knebel's books. Definitely two thumbs up!!!!

I love Simple Words Books! It is the perfect tool for my various levels of students with reading challenges (I provide reading intervention to students with dyslexia and other reading challenges). These books are engaging, interesting, and motivating. Developing readers get the pride and confidence that comes with reading a chapter book, while avoiding the frustration of texts that they have not yet mastered the skills to decode. Furthermore, they are able to achieve this without feeling like the material is "dumbed down" or "babyish", which further increases engagement and motivation. I am so grateful that I found Simple Words Books, and can't recommend these resources strongly enough!

These books are fantastic for struggling readers! The storylines are exciting, and the characters are fun and engaging. They look and feel just like traditional books, making reading even more enjoyable. Çiğdem approached them in a systematic way, which really helps our kids develop their reading skills. We absolutely love it and highly recommend these books for building confidence and making reading fun! Cant wait for the coming book!!!

These are the best decodable chapter books in the market! Both of my kids started reading with these "easier to read" books and it was a great way to start because they got a sense of accomplishment and a love of reading. There is an excitement to completing a book. I remember the day when my daughter, when she was done with the Spelling Pen, took a post it and wrote "I FINISHED IT!" on the cover! She was proud. So was I.
