Simple & Delicious

I had the smothered chicken, with Mac and cheese and greens (Order accuracy was not 100% I ordered yams but they were replaced with greens). The chicken tastes fine and fell right off the bone. The rice was flooded. I was really disappointed with the Mac and cheese which lacked in flavor. My husband had the pork chops with greens and mashed potatoes. He and said the chops were dry inside and he was disappointed with the instant mashed potatoes. We also tried the peach cobbler, but it was almost inedible with the amount of seasoning in it. The cobbler had a very strong clove or star of anise flavor to the point it tasted medicinal. Over all giving 3 stars thanks to the customer service. Not sure I’d recommend though.

Not sure if you can order off a menu, my order can off a "steam table" and it was Hot, Fresh, and DELICIOUS! Everyone dining in look as though they were enjoying their meal. As did I,enjoy my Takeout order. I will definitely revisit this establishment. Highly recommend it and appreciate the staff.

Stopped lunch for when i was in the area. Ordered the ribs. 3 ribs served on rice and 2 sides. Nicely flavored and not over powering. Place was clean and quiet with easy parking in front. Price point for ribs was on the high side hence dropping it a star.

Being from Mississippi, I truly miss our amazing soul food and “Simple & Delicious Soul Food” definitely hit the spot! Located just across from the Brazoria County Annex on Hwy. 35 in Angleton. I had the smothered pork chops, mustard greens, and candied yums. The meat was seasoned just right and moist, the mustard greens were perfectly cooked and the yams hit the spot. My husband had the smothered short ribs and it was so good!! BUT THAT PEACH COBBLER WAS 🔥🔥🔥 Both meals came with a drink and was enough for us to share. We will definitely be back. ✨Highly recommend! I've enjoyed this restaurant for dine in with family and take out. Love the oxtail dinner and recently enjoyed the smothered pork chops. Everything on the menu taste good with a down home - Sunday after church dinner feel. And there have desserts ‼️😋
