Silvershell Inn

George and Jean are delightful. Their house is very cozy. It has the charm of an old New England home and all the amenities, if not more, than a newer home. The beds were great. The hosts take great pride in taking care of their guests, from the reception to departure. Breakfast is something special, prepare to be impressed with your made to order breakfast. They take care of every detail! We look forward to returning!

Gary and I had the pleasure of staying at the Silvershell Inn in September. It is THE nicest B&B we have ever stayed in, and we have been guests at many. The home itself is tastefully decorated with fine art and furnishings. There are many antiques that come from George and Jeans family, going back 100 years and more. The guest room was clean, pleasant, quiet and a delight. Breakfast was wonderful and the coffee tasty and hot! We enjoyed ourselves very much and recommend this lovely Inn 100%. It is truly "top shelf" and luxurious!

With the warmest welcome, they make sure you are happy and comfortable at all times and well taken care of at breakfast. Their interior design taste, between the colors/patterns and their thoughtfully, yet effortlessly, placed antiques is so timeless. Every corner has something beautiful to admire, I could not stop complimenting and taking inspiration for my own home! We loved our stay at the Silvershell Inn! I traveled here with a friend on a museum trip. We thought the historical aspect of the inn would fit the theme of the trip, but was so much more than we imagined! The house is beautifully preserved and decorated, it feels just like stepping back in time. Jean and George are incredibly kind and attentive hosts. They have prepared so much to ensure every guest is well taken care of. The breakfast was also amazing and delicious. The area is so pretty as well. The inn is away from the busy city just minutes from the coast, allowing for a good night's rest and making it far more affordable than most other hotels, but is within easy driving distance of so many attractions.
