Silver City Public Library

Such a great asset for our special town…helpful people, amazing programs and even eye glass collection for the Lions Club. Everything happens here. We got free eclipse glasses and even enjoyed Saturday afternoon fiddling. I’m thrilled to be able to walk to this free public facility in my neighborhood.

The library is very nice but the two older women who work there are not. Always frowning with bad attitudes

This is a delightful library with an extremely helpful & knowledgeable staff. They have a great selection of books & plenty of computers. Still one of the quietest places in town - Olé!

Staff super understanding. But I'm 90% sure most of the patrons can hide their own eastee eggs. Feel so bad for the staff.

Still a library, but worst library where I’ve ever been a patron. Staff seems unhappy and why should they be at that pay grade. Charges to check out best sellers?? That’s awful. Also weirdly makes you renew your library card biannually. I know it’s not a huge deal, but for minimally active users it’s just an unfriendly reminder of this branch’s ostracizing policies. Hotspot policy clearly sucks. Not helpful for people who want regular access to information and entertainment. Buy more boxes. Look to Bisbee as a model for how to serve a small town with personality and grace. DVD selection is dismal. Very strange behavior from a library.
