Sidney Memorial Public Library

The parking was right behind the building. The stroller could easily get up. The children's area was big, bright, and pleasant. Stuffies could be checked out. Librarians there were very nice and professional. The restroom in the kids' area was clean with a changing table.

What a wonderful library with a large selection of materials and a very welcoming and helpful staff!

Gotta say “why?” I found it difficult to walk in after being heckled by kids on the front yard CLEARLY not reading or familiar with African Grey birds. Upon entering to read the local paper during my Holigaze Visit (get it?) I was verbally reprimanded by the tall librarian mentioned below in previous reviews who is employed still 👀. Unfortunately in the Sidney PL there are such things as dumb questions. Heading elsewhere to find the paper. I remember going there back in the day but only half of it was the post office. I went to the library to get some books I’ve seen but couldn’t find in the school library and brought them home I read, put it in my bag that I cleaned prior to putting them in because I am very serious about keeping books in the best condition possible I gave the books back and the woman working there did not say anything about the books being dirty or anything. I received a letter telling me there fining me for the book and I have to pay fifteen dollars for something I didn’t do. I gave them the fifteen after the woman working there yelled at me. I returned every book I took out and I will not be borrowing books from here again. Just go to the masonvile branch much better service

Lovely library with a good-size collection and a lot more amenities that you might expect. Surprisingly, staff can be a little abrupt or chilly.
