Named best Thai in DC which is true, but there’s a lot of factors that make me want to choose a different place. Food: even though it tastes great, I have noticed the quality has steadily decreased. The worst thing I’ve had was the Tom Kha soup. The most lime I have ever tasted in a broth, and I eat ceviche all the time. It was hard to eat, I couldn’t even finish the small serving. Price: adding chicken as a protein costs 7 additional dollars…eating here is very pricey. My boyfriend and I alone will end up paying $80-$100 for one outing (appetizer, drink, 2 entrees). And they automatically include 20% gratuity on your bill. Service: because the gratuity is already included, I’ve noticed service quality has gone down. Particularly from one individual. I believe she’s the daughter of this

Warming up with hot and spicy food on a chilly day in DC. I got the lunch special with hot tea, tom yum mushroom soup (spicy level 5) and drunken noodles with chicken (spicy level 3). Both dishes tasted wonderful in flavors and heat! 🌶️ They don’t do spice tray anymore, but you can request mini seasonings like chili flakes, vinegar with peppers, or fish sauce. I’ll def visit again for my next DC trip! Aroi mak!

Cozy spot at the corner of the street. I stopped by for lunch and ended up enjoying tom yam mushroom while looking out the door and watching the snow trickle down. Their lunch special $18 for appetizer, entree and a drink is ideal for a sit down meal. I couldn’t finish everything and packed it up so I can enjoy it at home!

Visiting DC during Labor Day weekend and I had to stop in at The Siam House located on Connecticut Avenue in Cleveland Park. If you’re looking for a tasty meal in a great location, then Siam House is the place for you. I had the Tom Yum Noodle Soup with fried tofu. It has a zesty lemony flavor that deliciously complements hints of cilantro and spices. It was literally good to the last drop! I finished my meal off with the Mango Sticky Rice which blends sweet mango with a rich coconut cream sauce sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds. Absolutely, divine. Keep in mind this is a seasonal dessert so don’t stay away too long if you want to partake. Overall, this is a fantastic restaurant for the family, friends, couples and anyone else that loves good Thai cuisine.

Siam House is the best Thai food in all of D.C. Every single time I go, the food is always up to par with the food I used to have in Thailand. Samantha and the rest of the staff are always so welcoming and warm when you go in and make you feel like you're eating at home in a loving community. The heaven pork is a dish I always recommend to whoever I bring, its so crispy and full of flavor it really does taste like you are having a bite of heaven. I have also loved the yellow curry with chicken as well as the Tom Yum soup. This establishment is definitely a place I have added to my frequently visits list and highly recommend anyone who hasn't been to go.
