Amazing food, service as we remember when they had the restaurant in Astoria. We missed them so much so we had to go to the city and try them out. And yes, food is so delicious, fresh and on point as always! It was so good that we order another ramen to go. I wish they have the tantan dry ramen but it was not on the menu. We had the yellowtail sashimi, Brussels sprouts tempura (which is always one of my favorite), fried chicken, spicy miso ramen and shoyu ramen. All were so delicious and fresh. Keep up the amazing work. We will definitely be back again.
Update: 3.4.26- I got to try the classic shoyu ramen. It doesn’t come with corn and nori so I added them. The broth is nice but missing some flavor that the nori and corn definitely added. My chasu was fatty and slightly gummy. I wish it were more tender. The noodles were thin and tasty though. Overall a good bowl of ramen. Party of five and the food and service was great. The fried wings were so juice and crispy. The duck tsukemen was delicious. That duck was tender. The sake was smooth and dangerously good.
great food & really nice atmosphere! The servers weren’t the nicest because they were eager for us to rush, immediately giving the check and hurriedly asking if we were done with our plates. But, we were there at 9pm which was was close to their closing time which is understandable..! I got a clam based ramen and it was alright, I would definitely recommend the spicy miso ramen instead!! The wings were also delicious
A very fantastic experience. The most impressive parts are the yuzu ramen and hand roll. The yuzu broth is quite novel (my first time tasting it!) and its freshness is very compatible with the tender chicken breast and shellfish. The hand roll is both tasty and aesthetic just like an art collection. Will definitely recommend to friends who'd like to try ramen in New York!
After my first time at Shuya, I immediately wanted to go back! The food was phenomenal, including some of the best fried chicken and ramen I’ve had in the city. The space is very aesthetically pleasing- with the owner supposedly handcrafting much of the furniture! The plates, bowls and cups are also handmade and they sell them there. Overall, a great experience and will be back!
