The mojarra and enchiladas were delicious! The staff was incredibly friendly and patient with me. I was a bit overwhelmed by all the options, but the person taking my order was so kind and offered great suggestions. I really appreciated the help and had a wonderful experience.
So I had just dropped off the family at LAX headed to Guatemala and was definitely in the mood for the food. Mapped it and came over. Closest parking I found was 2 blocks away. Walked over and got in line. Borrowed a menu. Ordered a mixta, a shuck, and order of garnachas. Bottle of pineapple soda and sat down to wait. Only a few tables and all were taken. A spot opened up so you share the space with others. They had some marimba playing. And there was spot so you could take pics. The food came out. Everything was delicious. Only knocked 1 star off because of affordability. For some of this being street food it was pricey.
The atmosphere is ok. Great food for authentic Guatemalan food. Be ready to wait 45min-50min for your food. The wait is by far the worse thing but other than the wait, great food in a hidden location.
Food is Excellent!! Just need a bit more clean around the Dining area. Plates left from previous customers just hanging out and no one out cleaning tables. Again, food is AMAZING!
Authentic, delicious, & well priced. Definitely recommend! My granny was pleasantly surprised as she's currently visiting us from Guatemala. In her own words, "the food was excellent". We tried the following: Enchilada (Guatemalan style Tostada) Rellenitos (Sweet plantains stuffed with Black Beans) Shuco Mixto (Guatemalan style hot dog) Chiles Rellenos (Stuffed Bell Peppers) Caldo de Gallina (Hen Stew) Everything was fresh, tasty, and they serve good sized portions (to save for later). Next time, we'll try their Garnachas (Guatemalan style sopes) & the Churasco (Carne Asada) plate.
