Shorty's BBQ

I drive by this place everyday and always wanted to stop by but never did until today! Very friendly & helpful owners! The ribs are very tender but the brisket is a tad bit chewy but very good flavor. They have spicy barbecue sauce & regular, both very good!

If you are in the mood for barbecue and do not feel like driving down to Portland, Shorty’s in Camas is worth checking out. It sits right on the corner near Round Lake, in what looks like an old market spot. I found it through a quick Google search and did not even realize it had been open for over a year. Ever since Goldie’s on Fourth Plain closed, I have missed having good barbecue nearby. The place is no frills and has that small mom and pop Southern vibe. The people at the front were friendly and welcoming. It is more of a casual pickup and go type spot. They have regular and spicy barbecue sauce. I went with the spicy and it was solid. Family with 2 under 2 and we got 1 pound of burnt ends, 1/2 pound of rib tips and 1/2 ribs we also got mac and cheese and baked beans and all I have to day is WOW the smell was absolutely amazing mouth watering and the taste!! So tender and juicy full of flavor and the bbq sauce you have choice of spicy or original and it is so amazing. Also the cans of soda are a dollar what a good deal!!! I over all we left with great leftovers and full belly. Highly highly recommend!! Next time we are gonna try the brisket

Ribs were very good. Not too cooked just perfect. Rib tips were crispy outside and tender inside yum. Brisket was tender and we enjoyed it and bought these by the pound for plenty of leftover food. Beans were good. Mac and cheese was a bit undercooked in our opinion, coleslaw was just basic and ok. April served us and she is very helpful and friendly. Adding a complementary tasty sausage to our order! Business looks a bit in the middle of getting going with equipment stored inside the store but not in use. Nice basic patio seating will be great in summer. They sell some fishing supplies too. We think it's the best BBQ we have tried in the area. Definitely will be back.

The staff is super nice and did great service overall, the food is great and delicious and cooked perfectly. Overall the place was super nice and I would recommend to go there. Also the barbecue sauce is out of this world.
