Shogun Japanese Restaurant

Went here to celebrate my hubby’s birthday. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience, the food, and the service.

Excellent sushi. The best in town. Lively hibachi & great food quality with great prices at a time when others are jacking them up. Great people and great service. Highly recommend.

Heading down from Atlanta this is the only decent spot. Nothing compared to Atlanta or North of Atlanta but definitely better than food in Locust Grove or any place in between. Location is nice. The hibachi was nothing spectacular though. Sushi was decent. Service is slow. I’ve been told Only male staff as servers which is a bit strange. The host was female though.

So much fun! We had such a great date day today and ending it with Shogun was the night topper! The cook was amazing and funny! The portion sizes were enough for 3 different meals. But the Bruce sushi roll was the best sushi roll I have ever had! Now being it was was just me and my husband it was pricey but with that said I'm one to look over the receipt and they had charged us a 15% gratuity prior to check out so there was over a ten dollar tip added to our bill before we ever received it and I dint really think that's fair to force people to tip you and one not make it known that's it being done and two I see if it was a party but 2 people we tip well anyways especially if they do good but our server never refilled drinks or bussed our table so it was messy and we were left thirsty but b

Never been here although I've heard of it. It's way up a hill and in a hole, kind of. A little worn out, but so is most of Macon, and so am I 🤣 It was 7pm on a Wednesday. Got there and it took half an hour for a bartender to appear. We were there for a birthday for an adult. Ordered to-go Udon Noodles from the bar. Waited an hour while drinking with some other friends for the birthday. I guess if you order to eat there it comes out faster because I ordered before some people and they got their orders faster. Whatever. I'm having a couple beers enjoying myself because my husband dropped me off and we are all women, so it became a girls night out which I haven't had in a while. The noodles were damn good the next day!
