Shin-Sen-Gumi – Irvine

Ordered a Hakata ramen to‑go for my kid. The portion was pretty small, and it only came with two slices of meat. For $15, it feels slightly expensive for what you get. The taste was just okay — nothing special. Overall, not really worth the price.

disappointed because i used to love this place, but today went to get takeout and they completely messed up my order (see pictures — ordered ankake/egg drop udon and DID NOT receive that. also requested no green onions and they ignored this).

Food was very tasty, but what really impressed me was the service- everyone was SO KIND! I had my two little ones with me and Reika, our server, was just so sweet in every interaction with them (and my kids loved that they were able to pick out a toy to take home). There were two additional men who were part of the waitstaff who were so attentive in checking on whether or not we needed anything and to make sure we were enjoying our meal. Overall, we had such a lovely dinner out!

Best damn udon in the game. My kids love this place for years. Every birthday, they make me come here.

Very mediocre noodles…. Ramen wasn’t good, udon didn’t meet up to my expectation either. All are very plain. Atmosphere and service is good but food is not worth going back.
