I really wanted to like this restaurant because of their build your own ramen bowl, sigh. What I did enjoy, the noodles, mushrooms, edamame, and seaweed salad were okay. The very slight hint of spice from the garlic chili oil was also okay. The best part of the meal was the tofu. They gave ample tofu portions for the ramen bowl and they were thick cut. I just didn't love the veggie broth. I also least liked that my broccoli and bok choy weren't fresh. What else does a vegetarian need but freshly prepared veggies? The best Ramen spot in the DMV with a great veggie/vegan bowl is in Bethesda. I don't recommend for veggie ramen, better off making Immi ramen as home. I would be open to try this venue again in the future if improvement are made.

I used to be a bouncer for one of Chef Darren Norris’s spots!! He’s a famous chef known for his fine dining Izakaya style cuisine. Now he has a high quality Japanese comfort food spot…I pulled up!! . Where I am: @shibuyaeatery . Location Reviewed: 4461 Willard Ave., Chevy Chase M.D. . Items Reviewed: STAMP!! Their Drinks ($3 each Strawberry Watermelon, Ginger Pear, & BlackBerry Lemonade). All of these are FRESH, super tasty, & refreshing!! STAMP!! Their Oyakodon Chicken Donburi ($19 a rice bowl with grilled chicken, soy simmered mushrooms, edamame, bean sprouts, soft egg, scallion oil, crispy leeks, & garlic chives). The ramen was so good!! Flavorful broth with premium ingredients - the pork was well prepared and not fatty. Love the Sapporo Ramen. I also got kids size portions for my kids and they loved the shio broth - light broth with amazing flavor. Huge portions! Will definitely be returning in this cold weather.

The staff is great and the food ( looks great) but it lack flavor. Specifically the ramen. Is far from what we have in Japan. Sorry people is nice but I see why this place is always empty the food could be way better

Shibuya Eatery is a great new ramen place. I had the build your own ramen with a shoyu base and pork belly. There are a ton of options and it is also vegan friendly, my friend was very happy with her bowl. The bowl I had was very affordable for the portion I had. It was a good amount of food and I leftovers after. The pork was freshly cooked and didn’t have that freezer taste that a lot of chain ramen places have. The dining room was very clean and the employees were friendly and knowledgeable. The owner Deron was super friendly and frequently checked in on us to make sure we were enjoying the food. Shibuya Eatery is a welcome addition to the neighborhood and I truly hope people come out to support it! They also take In-Kind which is super convenient.
