Sheriff Bear's Burgers and Ice Cream

Of all the places we dined at in Medora, Sheriff Bear’s Burgers and Ice Cream truly delivered the wow factor. The burger was hands down the best I had during our 2.5-week trip and honestly, it might be the best burger I’ve ever had while traveling anywhere. The fries were also memorable, topped with parmesan cheese and served with a flavorful dipping sauce. I also enjoyed the chocolate, banana, and strawberry milkshake, it was a great treat. My only regret is that we didn’t eat here more than once. I’ll definitely make it a priority to stop by again if I’m ever back in the area. The cashier was incredibly friendly. While I didn’t catch his name, he mentioned he’d be graduating soon. He had such passion for what he does, one of those people you feel lucky to cross paths with.

Service was extremely fast. The staff was friendly. We really enjoyed the fries with Parmesan. My wife loved the saucy Maltese burger. It was juicy and the caramelized onions were very flavorful. There is only outdoor seating but we enjoyed picnic tables where we could find a mix of sun and shade. There is a public restroom right next door if needed.

My family of 7 enjoyed our burgers and fries! Most of us got the Maltese burger for $10 which was very good. I wish fries came with the burger for that price, but a box of fries does feed at least 2. There was parmesan on the fries which some of my kids liked and some didn't. The staff was friendly and attentive. We would eat here again!

After day in the park, this is a great place to come for a tasty Maltese burger, french fries and a milkshake. I was greeted by Jose who’s working here from the Dominican Republic with a beautiful smile and such cheerfulness. Now we get to enjoy an evening of music at the great American folk show and after that going to the Medora musical! This is a great place to stop and have a tasty meal and meet a wonderful young man at the window to take your order

Friendly manager, and delicious food! The Maltese Burger is my favorite and their fries, with the home-made dipping sauce they provide, was like nothing I have had before ! We went twice during our stay. Highly recommend this place. Hot, fresh food that tastes great!
