Sheng Sushi

Great experience at Sheng Sushi! The food felt very authentic and full of flavor. We tried the Taiwanese popcorn chicken, calamari, and xiao long bao, and everything was delicious. The popcorn chicken was crispy, well-seasoned, and perfectly fried. The calamari was also very crunchy and flavorful. The highlight was the xiao long bao—soft dumplings filled with juicy, savory broth that tasted amazing. It reminds me of the food in Ximending. If you’re looking for authentic Taiwanese cuisine, this place is definitely worth visiting. Highly recommend!

Excellent classic Taiwanese food. The beef noodle soup was one of the best I’ve had and the popcorn chicken was nicely fried. Highly recommended for an authentic Taiwanese cuisine experience.

Probably the best Taiwanese spot around town. The dan Dan noodles were perfect. With shaved cucumber and carrots too. They have fresh uni and sushi. Don’t be fooled by the size and location, the uni is fresh and flown in from Japan. The Japanese pork cutlet was excellent, nice and thin/crispy. The beef noodle soup had so much flavor. The braised pork belly was exactly how it’s supposed to be. Prices are very reasonable.

Got the pork katsu meal, it had bones and tendons which is NOT what a katsu is supposed to have. It was so sweet for some reason and was not cut through properly. They didn’t provide knives to cut through the meat either, only flimsy plastic fork and spoon, and you just are expected to pick up the whole thing to eat. Terrible food
