Shayu Restaurant & Sushi Bar

I am honestly amazed by the service I received at Shayu by Ray at the front counter. He was kind and helpful with me looking at the menu. I ordered a House Singapore Noodle with no veggies and less spicy. When I received the order he was kind enough to make sure it met my expectations and had them remake my order for me a little more spicy than last and the food came out perfect. By far the best Singapore noodle I’ve had to date I will be coming back again. Don’t mind the messy plate that is from me chowing down.

Driven by this place often when it was Jason’s and noticed the signage change and decided to check it out for dinner. A “looked to be new” renovation which made it very enjoyable as everything seemed new, neat and clean. The bar was busy for an early Friday night which was a good sign. They do a very large take out business so our entrees were impacted in terms of timing but nothing too bad, again, another good sign. So our apps consisted of Nim Chow, hot & sour soup and vegetable steamed dumplings. Everything was surprisingly excellent as I guess I was somewhat skeptical on how good it would be. It was easy to order online. The person assisting me was friendly and the restaurant was nice and clean. I really enjoyed their Japanese udon noodles with beef, they were cooked well and super tasty and garlicky! The crab rangoons were also cooked very well. The spicy tuna sushi was well presented and very good! I was not a fan of the pan fried dumplings as they were super overcooked. The Mongolian beef was nicely presented with the chili peppers and jalapeños but there was some small rice noodles (I think), like a little amount in it which was different as most Mongolian beef usually are no carb. The beef itself was okay. Overall, I enjoyed this place and would like to try more specialty rolls next time!

Excellent food, service, and drinks! Highly recommend - their staff were super friendly, food was fresh and flavorful, and their drinks were stiff. The Mai Tai, Five Spice Calamari, Crazy roll, Gozilla roll, and Mini Me rolls were all fantastic.

I usually do take out from this place. Today we decided to dine in for my daughter's birthday. The service was really great. He helped make her birthday a special one. I've been tired with nursing school, so I went there for a simple eat in and out. But he went out of his way and brought her ice creams with a candle. Very grateful 🙏 We'll be going back for dining in more.
