Sharq Family Restaurant

While some menu items sell out early in the day (lagman, and others) Sharq clearly values impressing patrons with the quality of their meat and produce. Having eaten at many Uyghur and Russian “Uzbek” establishments in / around Philmont Avenue, none of them come *close* to the ingredient quality at Sharq. If you are flexible to eat what they have available, you will be very happy you came. Moreover the restaurant is immaculate, doesn’t smell like cooking smells, and has a lovely atmosphere.

Ground meat kebab was cooked raw, tastes horrible, smells like lamb fat, disgasting, I guess their main chef changed recently.

We ordered “Sharq Special Kebab Assorted” and asked the server whether or not fries or anything comes with it. She said no, it’s just meat. So we ordered bread and other things. When our order arrived, fries and salad were included - so we ended up with extra food we didn’t need. Server also wasn’t familiar with any dish nor was she attentive. There were only 2 other families in the restaurant. When we finally asked her to bring our check after waiting for nearly an hour, she came back and said their Internet wasn’t working and that she could only accept cash or zelle - she already had Zelle scan code printed. It appeared to me that this restaurant’s Internet never works - this way they can charge me tax but never pay it. City of Philadelphia should look into this.. the last part is just m

Very tasty food. Acceptable and responsible prices. Clean and beautiful. Excellent service and good attitude of the waitress Angelina. There is not enough promotion because many people do not know about this place.

Their soups, Lula kabobs, samsa's are all really delicious. I also finally got to try their plov. Food was solid, staff was friendly, I am already a repeat customer, and I plan on coming back again.
