Sharks Fish & Chicken

I recently visited Sharks Fish & Chicken at 5256 Salem Ave in Trotwood, OH, and my experience was a mix of delicious food and a somewhat unrefined atmosphere. I ordered a chicken wing dinner and a chicken sandwich dinner, and I have to say, the value for money was impressive. The chicken sandwich was piled high with mayo, lettuce, tomato, and cheese—I might have added the cheese, but either way, it was tasty and filling. Both meals came with a generous serving of fries, all for what I believe was just five dollars(chicken sandwich)! While the food was definitely a highlight, the environment left a bit to be desired. The spot had a “ghetto” vibe and was somewhat dirty, which made it feel less inviting. I noticed that the dining area could use a good cleaning and some maintenance. However,

Customer service is not good order for pick up first time ordering first thing to say is “What” “What do you want” very rudely I can hardly understand them, once the order was put in I called back because I thought you need my name for pick up they still rude saying “we don’t have your order what is it?” While I’m trying to explain. Didn’t say how long it will take. Basically they need to drop the attitude over the phone if you want someone money willing to spend to try the food.

Lemonade machine contains mold on lid and tank that hold and percolate beverage. Establishment isn’t spotless, in my humble opinion they can do a better job at cleaning. Overcooked mushrooms. And greasy as hell. Cooking oil tastes old.

Came across town to shop at Lowe’s in Trotwood and thought we’d find some place locally owned for lunch. Sharks is right in front of Lowe’s - love good fish! I had ocean perch 2 huge meaty pieces and fries w coleslaw and bread $8.99 and my husband got 2 tilapia fish tacos $5 everything hot and fresh, nice portions and whatever seasoning they use on fish and fries is excellent! Highly recommend.

First time coming in here, wasn't sure what to expect. Reviews were all positive, so figured it'd be fine, and I was wrong...this place is great! The food was amazing, was prepared really fast, and the staff were nice. My son loved his chicken nuggets and my chicken tender sandwich was the right combination of affordable ($5) and delicious! And their fries...their fries were seasoned wonderfully! I plan on eating here again! 😁
