Shang Hai Restaurant

The ambience and decor was really impressive. It was nice and spacious. The seats were comfortable. The food was amazing. I Haven’t been very impressed by the Chinese food around town in Reno but this one was definitely one of the best I’ve had in a long time. I decided to just stop by on a whim and they were very accommodating and even gave me a crab Rangoon as a free appetizer! I ordered the sizzling beef and scallops, and it was served on a cast-iron plate similar to a fajita and it was very delicious and extremely enjoyable. I would be happy to come back with the rest of my family and the sample more because I’m sure I wouldn’t be disappointed.

I had dinner here with my small family, and it was great. Food was very good with generous portions making it easy to share! The food was ready quickly after ordering, and our server Barbie was quick to accommodate our requests. We had to take home leftovers because there was so much food, but that made great lunch the next day!

Food is always very fresh and we love the flavors. The server was attentive and not intrusive. Price was very fair for the amount of food (we even took home a whole second meal). Defiantly a place to enjoy.

We were happy to see that Shang Hai has reopened after a months long closure for remodeling. It's brighter and even more comfortable than before. All of the food was good, and we especially enjoyed the steamed buns, hot & sour soup, and lettuce wrapped chicken. The service was great too!

This was a family favorite. They have reopened and everything is new, clean, and food is great. Hope the local neighborhood comes back.
