So happy to discover this new gem! There’s always something that does the heart well when you get to eat amazing food that can match the incredible friendly personality of a passionate owner!! Ali is the freaking man! We enjoyed the chicken Shawarma plate (truly incredible) and the super moist chicken kebab plate and had some of their amazing baklava. We will definitely be back soon!

I tried Shami’s Mediterranean Grill in Plano for the first time, and it was excellent. I had the mixed grill plate with two lamb kofta kebabs, a grilled jalapeño, and charred tomato and onion, plus a fresh cucumber salad and delicious garlic-hummus sauce. Sitting outside on a mild November night made the meal even better. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful, and the kitchen staff was great too. I’m already looking forward to going back. Highly recommend Shami’s for super-fresh, healthy Mediterranean flavors.

If you’re looking for truly authentic Syrian food in DFW, look no further. This spot has hands-down some of the best broasted chicken I’ve had in the U.S., crispy on the outside, perfectly juicy on the inside, and seasoned exactly the way it’s supposed to be. But the star of the show? The garlic sauce. It’s the closest I’ve tasted to what you’d get in Syria, smooth, fluffy, and packed with that bold garlic flavor we grew up with. You can tell it’s made the right way, not the shortcut versions most places use. Portions are generous, service is warm, and the whole place has that familiar, home-style feel. Plano is lucky to have a restaurant like this. If you miss real Syrian broasted chicken, this is the place. Absolutely phenomenal.

Five stars! The food was absolutely fantastic, every dish was packed with flavor. To top it off, the service was perfect. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. We will definitely be back!

Authentic Damascan food for a reasonable price. The hummus is homemade and all of the food is fresh. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. The dining area is very open and clean.
