Shah's Halal Food - Houston

It was alright. First time trying this place and wasn't as expected. The music from next door club is not helping this restaurant at all. The food lack flavor and was not worth the price. The Philly cheesestake was covered in black pepper which ruined the overall taste. The chicken over rice was small portion and looked nothing like the advertised pictures.

I’m definitely pissed after unwrapping my Philly cheesesteak sandwich. This looks no where near what you advertised on your pictures. I told the guy to put everything on it and he said we don’t have cheese or that yellow cheese/sauce. This is not ok!! It’s barely any ingredients and the beef tastes funky 🤢. I barely finished my half sandwich and will sadly throw away the rest. It was definitely a waste of money. I should have gone with the bowl option. Also, clean your dirty sticky floors for the love of running a business.

You cannot go wrong with their Fish over rice platter. Their fish is juice, flavorful and crispy, and the rice is well seasoned too! I love the hot sauce that comes with it and dont forget to add the white sauce too as thats a game changer. Definitely coming back for more 👌

Randomly I was passing by and tried it, and today is is my 5th time and amazing is everything food quality+taste+ cleanliness+ service and it’s not expensive at all, So over all great experiences so I would say 5 star definitely.

This place is a hidden gem for sure. I tried it once 2 weeks ago and been back twice. The food is good and portions are great. Also Gia and the employees customer service was top tier. Most definitely recommend this spot.
