Amazing food and drinks, and Jennifer is freakin great. I had the chicken korma (spice level 2, perfect gentle warmth for me who’s fairly sensitive), garlic naan, mango lassi, a cocktail, and I loved the samosas which historically have been hit or miss at different places in my opinion. I wanted like 8 of those suckers. Back to the korma, I was curious if I’d like the raisins that come in it or not. They were green and plump, and turns out they add such a wonderful little *burst* of juicy sweetness in the midst of the creamy warmth! I didn’t have my vegan partner with me this time, but it seemed like there were a good amount of vegetarian options. Coming from the bay area in California, I am a bit biased to the Indian food there before & now living in Portland, Oregon. I have some great spots that I go to regularly but SHAHI is a hidden gem & the food was amazing. I did ask for extra spicy & the heat wasn't too bad but I have had hotter. The staff was super friendly & kind. They did amazing drinks & even surprised us when we asked for the house special. If I'm ever visiting the Omaha area again when visiting friends I will definitely be coming back!

Lamb vindaloo and chicken madras were great! Both meats were tender and the sauces were outstanding! Garlic naan was also good. The appetizer platter left something to be desired (fried coating wasn't crispy and the food wasn't very warm) but the samosa was really good.

Shahi India Grill is a total gem! The Mutter Paneer blew me away—fresh, creamy paneer packed with bold, authentic flavors. The ambience is stylish and inviting, perfect for a great night out. Huge shoutout to the owner and manager for their warm, top-notch hospitality. Can’t wait to come back again! Even had a drink with the owner on a quiet Thursday night - got there close to closing - and yet - was welcomed with a , no rush , great attitude and the staff was full of heart!

Beautiful restaurant directly adjacent to the park downtown. Overall not bad food. Wasn’t our favorite. The two apps were delicious and a great way to kick off the meal. The chili chicken and vegetable pakora were awesome! We also ordered butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, and chicken korma. Unfortunately all 3 looked and tasted the same. The dishes would have benefited from cashews, golden raisins, and other seasonings. We are used to the tikka masala being tomato based and butter chicken having heavy cream or coconut cream. They were large portions and lots of chicken which was a plus. The naans were delicious and massive as well.
