I recently visited Shah Ghouse Biryani in Cedar Park, a relatively new and small establishment offering classic Hyderabadi-style dishes. Overall, the experience was decent, with some strong points and a few areas that could use improvement. I tried multiple items during my visit. The Chicken 65 was just average—nothing particularly memorable in terms of flavor or texture 🍗. The Chicken Dum Biryani had good seasoning and a pleasant aroma, but it didn’t feel as fresh as expected, which slightly affected the overall experience 🍚. Mirchi ka salan is not all tasty, it is raw and bland. On a positive note, the Mutton Haleem stood out the most. It was rich, flavorful, and well-cooked, clearly showing authentic taste. However, it contained a heavy combination of oil and ghee, which made it feel a

We went to this Biryani place yesterday and had a genuinely good experience. The biryani was super flavorful and filling, exactly what we were hoping for. After that, we wanted something lighter, so we tried the Apricot Delight. It was perfect. Not too sweet, not heavy on cream or sugar, and honestly felt like the right dessert after a big meal. We really enjoyed it. The service was also really nice, the staff was friendly and helpful throughout, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely recommend trying this place, especially the biryani paired with the Apricot Delight!

Had been waiting for this restaurant to open ever since I saw the “Coming Soon” board at the location. Finally got a chance to visit after they recently opened, and it was worth it! 🙌 We started with Zafrani Chicken 65 🍗—it tasted decent and okay. The real highlight, though, was the Chicken Dum Biryani 🍛🔥. Honestly, this is one of the finest and best biryanis I’ve had in Austin and the surrounding areas. It carries an authentic flavor that truly stands out but I feel it misses the freshness. This has definitely become one of my favorites, and I’ll be visiting regularly whenever a biryani craving hits 🤤—as long as they maintain this taste and freshness. I’m planning to try Haleem next time. The staff was kind enough to offer me a small tasting portion, and it was delicious as well 👍. 👉 S

A friend suggested Shah Ghouse Biryani, so I was excited to try it. Unfortunately, the biryani was a bit dry and not quite up to the mark for my taste. The place itself is small, and the menu is somewhat limited. That said, the staff was friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. Hoping for a better experience next time.

The hype doesn’t live up to reality. I went there specifically for haleem, but it was already out of stock. By around 8:20 PM, several items were unavailable, so I ended up ordering a combo with mutton biryani. The mutton biryani was just okay. The butter naan was quite small, and the red chicken curry lacked both spice and flavor, it tasted pretty bland. This was my first haleem of the season, and it was disappointing to try it here in combo pack. The apricot delight also didn’t have any real apricot flavor; it was more like a bready dessert. I tried sample Irani Chai, it was nice.
