Seyo’s Sports & Grill

I don’t usually write reviews for African restaurants. When I visit a place and the food isn’t great, I’m usually willing to give them a second shot just to be fair. But if it doesn’t improve, I won’t go back. However, this restaurant, Seeyo, is a different story. I’ve been coming here for a while, and let me tell you, the food is incredible! The owner is super friendly, and the lady with the short hair? She's amazing too. Honestly, I don’t mind waiting 2 hours for my food if it’s that good. But, if I’m being real, the portions could use a little more love. The stew portion was on the smaller side I finished it before I even got halfway through the rice. This place is a 10/10. I had the beef suya and jollof rice both of which were amazing. Even the drinks are good. I had the Piña colada , which tasted so fresh. Definitely would recommend this place.💯

The owner was warm and welcoming, which I genuinely appreciated. Unfortunately, the quality of the meal didn’t match the hospitality. Once I got home and opened my order, disappointment quickly set in. The meat portions were extremely small, practically pebble-sized, and many pieces were bony and lacked substance. The cow skin was so tough it was inedible. I had no choice but to throw it away. Only the tripe and one piece of cow skin were passable. I initially hesitated to write this review. But after reading another customer’s complaint about the same issue posted nine months ago, it became clear that feedback isn’t being taken seriously. That’s troubling. Food was a colossal fail, the beef was basically burnt i tried the beef suya have had way better, i had ordered the beef shawarma as well, i was actually put off from finishing when i started eating it at home it because the friend i was with found a small metal piece in his food. The beef in the sandwich was also slightly burnt which i was not shocked because of the suya. As to if he said something about the metal in his food to the owner in Igbo or yoruba or whatever language they were speaking i doubt it.

The Suya beef and jollof rice is a must..shey. Great meat portion, it is wonderfully spiced and smoked. Plus flavorful rice! Abeg you have to try this Naija food from Seyo's!!! See photos :)
