Seven Scents 七号小串 | Skewers · Beer · Chinese BBQ

This place is seriously a hidden gem in LIC! Everything we tried was delicious. We were so excited to eat that I forgot to take photos😭 One bite and it instantly felt like being back home. The copper pot hot pot with sour cabbage and lamb, paired with small squid, was absolutely next level. So rich, so comforting, and so flavorful. The prices are way more reasonable than Flushing！but the quality is just as good, if not better. Plus, you can eat while watching NBA games on the big screen – such a perfect vibe. Great food, great atmosphere, great value. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I got the stir fried squid to go once and it was SO DELICIOUS and having it in the restaurant was pretty good too. Their seasoning is salty if you enjoy salty food like I do but everything is amazing. I do recommend on getting stir fried squid and their string beans.

Everything was delicious, there were many options for skewers depending on the type of meat as well as various entree dishes. Meat was good quality and super well seasoned. The rice was steaming hot and 1 serving comes in a massive bowl. We also tried the Szechuan style fish and it was amazing! Everything is fully digital though - even for water, you need to ask for it through their ordering interface. Overall a really good experience for a sit-down skewer meal.

I came by with 3 friends recently to this newly-opened restaurant that specializes in skewers. We came on a Saturday evening around 6:30, and there were still a handful of tables available, but filled up while we were eating. (When we got there they asked us if we had reservations, but I don't see anywhere to make reservations online; so you might have to call to make one?) They have a pretty big menu of various spicy dishes (many of which did seem yummy!), but we decided to only try the skewers :) Price point is a tad high - around $2 per skewer on average (before tax/tip), but overall they were quite yummy. Our favourites were the grilled beef (fat & lean) 牛肉小串(肥瘦) and the grilled black pepper beef skewers 黑椒牛肉串. Both were quite nicely seasoned with cumin, pepper, etc. and the beef was

This place is so good! Seven Scents has everything I love — juicy, flavorful skewers, ice-cold beer, and that unbeatable Chinese BBQ vibe. The grilled meats were perfectly seasoned and tender, and the side dishes? Super tasty and comforting — just like a late-night meal back home. Also, don’t miss the spicy crawfish — messy, spicy, and totally worth it. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. The vibe is chill, the service is friendly, and it’s a great place to hang out with friends. Prices are fair for the quality and portion size. Definitely adding this to my regular rotation!
