So excited that the chef from Sweet Basil is now closer to me. The food is incredible. I loved the lort cha - the texture of the noodles reminds me of thin chewy korean rice cake. Tasted my friend's pho and it's some of the best pho broth I've tasted in Rochester. This gemof a restaurant is intimate and has a warm vibe. Will be back!!!
WOW, A MUST-TRY!!! 🍜 Family-owned cute and cozy spot with traditional Cambodian dishes, and Pho! I've been meaning to go check it out and you'll be glad you did too. I tried the Samlor Machu - absolutely delicious. Have it *a little spicy* if you dare, hits you at first but it's the perfect amount. So good when you want veggies and meat and broth. The tea has a slight hint of anise, nice and refreshing. Enjoy!
I went for a late lunch to Seoul Sisters Poncha. Upon entering I was warmly greeted by Clarissa, she provided me with a menu and a complimentary cup of tea. I had the beef pho, cucumber salad (medium spice) and spring rolls. Everything was fresh, and full of flavor. The cucumber salad is nothing like I’ve ever had before. I have thought about it daily since I’ve left the restaurant. I will be frequenting this establishment. If you have not been please make your way.
I was thrilled when I heard the family team behind Sweet Basil Cafe had found a new home at Seoul Sisters Pocha (so the menu is now Cambodian and South East Asian instead of Korean). The food is excellent, the service is great, and the price is also very reasonable. We had the fresh spring role, papaya salad, lort cha, and bobor. All four were excellent. In fact, I woke up in the middle of the night dreaming of the lort cha and was sad when I realized there were no leftovers. I will 100% be going back to try everything on the menu and have already recommended the place to my friends.
The restaurant has recently changed management (if you ever ate at Sweet Basil Cafe in Victor their chef created the new menu) so the menu is now South East Asian instead of Korean. Definitely give the new menu a try, the food was incredible! We ordered: Lort Cha with chicken Village Style Lemongrass (sour) soup Spicy Basil Stir Fry (not pictured) You can request how spicy you would like the dishes. Such a great spot no matter if you're looking for a place for lunch or dinner.
