Seoul Mate

Thank you Lord for Seoul Mate, AMEN! They showed up at work today. What a great surprise! Wings, dumplings, kimchi, bulgogi, oooh my!! Super nice folks and Evvv-er-yyy-thing was cooked to perfection! I think the wings might get the mvp award--crispy outside, super juicy and succulent inside!! Oh wow, the chef just made my co-worker and I a special,all-protien taco, that was superb!! What a great introduction to Korean style cuisine for me!! Think they are only operate on Fridays at Holly Hills Business Park in Powhatan, Va and special events! Ownership is truly service and community minded in word and deed!!

Fast, Friendly, affordable, and FABULOUS! The menu hits every possible eating plan, the veggies are perfectly cooked and the portion sizes are perfect. With the exception that the food is soooooooo good, even though you are full you don’t want to stop. I had the chicken teriyaki bowl with a side order of veggies. The egg rolls are stuffed and perfectly cooked. My husband had the special, Honey Bourbon smoked ribs and it was all I could do not to eat them all after he let me try one. This food truck nails it!

Great Korean-American food! Marine Veteran owned. If you want to try something new, ask the owner what he recommends, he's very good at explaining the dishes. The bulgogi is my favorite!

We are visiting family and wanted to find something near us rather than fast food, and boy are we glad we did! We wanted to try a bit of everything so we had the pork dumplings, egg roll, kimchi, the special Jeyuk Bokkeum with Tteokbokki and the Fried Rice Bowl with Sweet Soy (teriyaki) Chicken with Yum Yum sauce. Everything was fantastic! We went back to grab extra egg rolls to share with the family! Both gentlemen were friendly and helpful! The food was hot and quick, I can’t say enough good things! I can’t wait to come back to go again!!

Personally this guy is an amazing chef, his ability to prepare food that tastes amazing every single time, is unparalleled. If you are nervous about Asian cuisine don't be, his confidence with his variety of flavors will put your mind at ease. The protein options are his signature Bulgogi bowl (marinated steak), Teriyaki chicken, popcorn shrimp, crunchy tofo, and sometimes a pork belly option. Always over his amazingly tender sticky fried rice. Not to mention, 3 types of dumpling options, loaded fries and of course his homemade Kimchi. Clearly Seoul Mate is a 5+++++ check it out asap!
