Senbeb Cafe

This place is a gem of a Vegan and Vegetarian carry out. The food is always fresh; the counter person is so pleasant. The menu items are always available. There are 8 seats that are fine if you want to dine-in but this is really a carry-out.

Vegan cafe? Right this way! I stopped by while out on a walk and decided to grab some things The BbQ sauce with the cajun chicken wrap paired with fries has great flavor. The potato salad....thick and creamy, which is the side I live on! The plaintains were perfect. The portions are good I only ate half of everything except the fries. I will definitely return to try other things after my next fast. Blessings to the hands that served me today.

The food at Senbeb was remarkable! I came into town for a book signing by Anthony Browder and was starving afterwards for some delicious and nutritious vegan food. I had heard of a few spots in DC, but Senbeb seemed like my vibe. I ordered the Crab cakes with collards, mac-n-cheese, and yams – OMG! The people, both staff and customers, were warm, friendly, and inviting. I highly recommend a visit, especially because I didn't have any parking issues. I enjoyed myself so much that I forgot to take pictures and videos, but I'll surely be back and highly recommend it!

Believe the reviews! This Soul Food is amazing! Flavors are on point! While also not being too heavy. I had the “Fried Fish” and it has to be the best imitation fish I’ve ever had as a vegan. The Mac was good, the collards were flavorful without being salty. The complementary Cornbread was just right! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and felt great afterwards!!

This isn’t my first time having Senbeb cafe. It’s probably been over 10/15 times! lol.. soo, it’s safe to say it’s one of my go toos for a quick warm filling vegan meal. I will say, I unusually get the same things.. but I see other things being ordered!! My buddy ordered the crab cakes (which I’ve never had) and he ATE EVERYTHING, left no crumbs… soo it must have been good!
