Food is fresh and always prepared well. I always get the grilled chicken schwarma wrap with: onions, arabic salad (pico de gallo without the heat) cucumber with yogurt and feta. Get the garlic sauce and hot sauce, it's like 4/10 heat I'd say it's similar to an Mediterranean Chipotle but better

I was in the area and a friend recommended SS, and I'm glad I gave it a try. Excellent choice! Food tasted fresh, not too salty, and had incredible flavor. The hummus was yummy, one of the best. Beef Shawarma was also really good. Wish you were closer to the north suburbs.

Tried Sem Sem recently and it honestly exceeded my expectations. The food tastes super fresh and the flavors are on point. You can tell they care about quality and not just rushing people through the line. Shoutout to Ali working the line — the tall guy making the bowls. He was quick, respectful, and made my bowl perfectly. Everything was layered right and the portions were great. It’s small details like that that make a big difference. He showed me a really great idea for a bowl and I will forever keep getting it just that way. The whole place had a great vibe and the service was smooth. Definitely one of those spots you end up coming back to once you try it. Sem Sem did not disappoint. 🙌

Sem Sem is easily one of the best food spots in the area. The flavors are incredible, the ingredients are always fresh, and every bowl is made with real care. What really stood out to me though was Ali working the line — the tall caramel-skinned guy. You can tell right away he takes pride in what he does. Ali built my bowl perfectly — everything balanced, packed with flavor, and the portions were generous. He was fast, professional, and still made sure the food came out looking and tasting amazing. It’s rare to see someone on the line who actually puts that much attention into every order. Because of Ali, the whole experience felt top tier. If you stop by Sem Sem and see Ali on the line making bowls, you’re in good hands. That level of service and quality is exactly why I’ll keep coming

Super friendly, while ordering they offered my toddler a little something to eat for free - it was a little biscuit of sorts. Food is amazing great portion sizes and good flavors. Decor is a little odd and they have drink stored out in the open. My kids really enjoyed the music.
