Selam Ethiopian & Eritrean Cuisine

Me and my husband went here for our anniversary dinner and we’re raving about this place and how we can’t wait to go back. Everything was phenomenal- the food, the drinks, and the service! Normally I’m not one to gush over service however I have to say they went above and beyond to be attentive without overbearing and the joy of sharing their culture was delightful. We had the tea, beer, honey wine, coffee - all exceptional! I think that was the best coffee I’ve ever had! For food we had the salad appetizer, the selam meat and vegetable special, and baklava for dessert. Everything was delicious, not one bad bite! We left stuffed and happy!

Selam Ethiopian & Eritrean Cuisine is an absolute gem—especially if you’re vegan and gluten-free. The veggie combination platter was huge, beautifully presented, and packed with rich, complex flavors. Every dish was delicious and incredibly satisfying. The honey wine was amazing (a must-try), and the hot tea was the perfect complement to the meal—warm, comforting, and thoughtfully served. On top of the food, the service was excellent: attentive, welcoming, and genuinely kind without being overbearing. You can tell they care deeply about the experience they provide. If you’re looking for incredible vegan and gluten-free options with generous portions and outstanding hospitality, Selam is absolutely worth the visit. I’ll definitely be back. 🖤

I really like this restaurant. The manager is extremely welcoming, and the food is great. They sell the type of food that people from Ethiopia eat. Furthermore, all the staff are from Ethiopia too. This is a really good family-owned business. The only problem is that the waitresses are not well trained.

Absolutely amazing. Greeted immediately upon entering and seated. Was offered help with the menu and house brewed tea. The food and service were top notch. Will be returning!

This is a 10 out of 10 place for Ethiopian food in the US. I can’t judge the authenticity but seemed very authentic and everything was delicious. The manager, Abraham, was awesome as well. If it’s your first time, just go with his recommendations. I will be back for the good food and the outstanding service and hospitality.
