First time dining at Sel, the restaurant was recommended to us by friends. I went on the Sel website and saw the "Off Hours Bourbon" event, which was right up our alley. When we arrived we were warmly greeted. The restaurant is small and has bar, main and patio seating. The atmosphere has a very warm, country, bistro feel. The event started with a reception where I had the pleasure of meeting the Chef's wife May, who was so nice. What followed after the reception was a 4 course dinner pairing with crafted Bourbon cocktails and a pure tasting of the bourbon that was used for the cocktail and the accompanied dish. We had a lovely evening here. The restaurant is very cozy and romantic, with a warm atmosphere and lovely service. The chef’s menu is thoughtfully put together, and we enjoyed what we ordered. That said, we would have loved to see a few more vegetarian options. I had noted in the reservation that one of us is vegetarian, and while the host asked who it was when we arrived, we were then given two identical menus and the topic wasn’t mentioned again. Our server also didn’t acknowledge it, which felt a bit odd especially after being asked, but it didn’t ultimately take away from the evening. Overall, we had a good time, enjoyed the food and the ambiance, and would happily come back.

No lie — Sel was so good my colleagues and I went two days in a row! Every single thing we tried was incredible. The staff and chef were absolutely amazing — welcoming, genuine, and clearly passionate about what they do. The food was flawless, from start to finish, and don’t even get me started on the desserts… a prosecco dessert and a marzipan — wow! If I lived closer, I’d be a regular in a heartbeat. Truly one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. And the indoor and outdoor seating was beautiful!!

Sel is truly exceptional. The food is top-notch, the steak is absolutely drool-worthy, and the seafood options are just as impressive. Every dish feels intentional, with a beautifully well-thought-out menu and layered, balanced flavors. The intimate setting makes it a perfect romantic date-night spot. One of those places you keep thinking about long after the meal is over.

Incredible experience. They were very willing to modify things for my girlfriend's dietary restrictions and made up a dish on the spot for her. I had the filet mignon and it totally floored me. Great ambience and amazing food and the staff was so awesome. Really nice and very invested in their customers. An amazing experience.
