Second Street American Bistro

I had French onion soup. It was delicious. Lots of cheese! And loaded corn bread with honey butter served hot still in the skillet! I also ordered the veggie burger. I asked what was in the burger the waiter said garbanzo beans #allergygirl I thought great I can eat those! But when it came there were lots of other things in there (I know my fault for not being more detailed in my questioning). The waiter could not offer any details even after going to the kitchen. Better safe than sorry I decided not to eat it. The waiter made it easy by taking it off my bill.

We saw the Google reviews, and they absolutely were just spot on. What an overall incredible meal! Everything we ate tonight was such a delight. We started with the loaded cornbread, apologies no photo, my party didn't wait for my phone! It was moist, and just a tasty treat to start. Our server Kara(I hope correct spelling), was so warm, friendly, just a hoot this evening. Her personality just enhanced an already delightful meal. I strongly reccomend her to anyone! The Virginia Jambalaya, just tons and tons of flavor. One of the best Jambalaya's I've eaten, even through the ones I've experienced in New Orleans....very tough but Second Street wins! My Father enjoyed the Second street burger, everybite he was wiping the juice off his hands, his comments were, just wow...he was sile

This was our first time here and definitely not our last. Terrific food and cocktails and such nice people. Duvall provided great service and helped us celebrate my son’s birthday. What a special place.

Top 3 crabcake I've ever had, and I eat a LOT of crabcakes. This is what you call a LUMP crabcake, no filler. They look small but I could only eat one because it is full of crab. The salmon was also top tier. My husband raved about the fried grits. Oh, and the shrimp appetizer was perfect. Jamie was our server and she was excellent. I wish we lived closer but we stumbled across this place when we left Bush Gardens. It was amazing!

Very comfortable, friendly places with tasty food. Our server, Brianne, was excellent: attentive but no hovering. She let us talk and eat and she took care of business. Nice atmosphere, loved that there were not screens everywhere. Portion size was plentiful and we should've had some to take home but couldn't resist gobbling everything down (my husband helped me with my Virginia jambalaya, which is pictured).
